Who Am I?

One hidden identity. Lots of questions.

Play Who Am I?

How to play

Gather 2–16 people around one phone. The named player taps Ready, then holds the phone against their forehead with the screen facing everyone else. A three-second countdown gives them time to get into position before the identity appears. The group can see the identity; the player should keep the screen facing away from themselves.

Ask yes/no questions

Ask questions aloud to work out which famous person or character you are: “Am I a real person?”, “Am I in a film?” or “Am I a singer?” The group answers yes or no. Keep asking, then say your guess aloud. There is no turn timer, and you can pass whenever you want.

Record and pass

After saying your guess, lower the phone. The identity is already on screen: tap Guessed it if the group agrees your guess was correct, or Passed if you gave up. This records one result and immediately opens the next player’s Ready screen, with their identity hidden while you pass the phone.

Choose your category

Mixed is the default: a varied selection of widely recognisable identities. Celebrities includes actors, musicians and sports stars. Film & TV contains fictional characters from films and television. Gaming contains video-game characters. Internet includes influencers, creators and online personalities. Each card names one identity. These decks are independently selected for OnePhone Party; this is not an official Hedbanz game and uses no Hedbanz cards or artwork.

How many rounds?

Choose 3, 5 or 10 rounds, with 5 as the default. Every player gets one identity per round. Two players and three rounds means six turns. The final result shows each player’s guessed and passed totals. Seen identities are remembered in this browser; unseen identities come first until the chosen pack is exhausted.

Keep the identity hidden

Refreshing, leaving the game or switching tabs returns an active turn to Ready with the same identity and scores. No camera, microphone, motion sensors, account or second phone is needed.
